From a gourmet store to an established confectionary factory, Bonté in Nantes has preserved its values of authenticity and quality for over a century. Their high standards and respect of traditional recipes have earned them a formidable reputation in the field of high-end confectionary.

At Bonté, each mint is created using traditional techniques and is made mostly by hand using natural coloring and aromas. Sugar pastry is first cooked in the copper cauldrons and is then spread generously over cooling tables. While still warm, candy flavors are worked into the pastry by hand, layer by layer, so the resultant candy is silky smooth without being overworked. These candies are truly handmade with love.

The company started off as two separate family businesses, Confiserie Bonté and Confiserie Pinson, both founded in the late 19th century. In the year 2006, the two confectionery manufacturers merged into one company, which initially focused on manufacturing only hard candies, lollipops, organic candies and regional candies. Fast forward to present day: the addition of select industrialized equipment, which is used to complement the traditional techniques, has helped the company expand their range of products phenomenally.

From a wide range of French regional specialties to candy bars in a variety of shapes and colors, Bonté has something for sweet-lovers of all ages.
